As I mentioned before, I recently had the misfortune of dropping a very LARGE, very HEAVY metal trap door on my dominant hand....

Today I went to my doctor for a re-assessment, for the first time since my accident (just over a week ago) the bandage was being taken off my ring finger and said bandage had become rather attached to my hand...literally. After much painful yanking, I was forced to soak the bandage in a bowl of water for about 40min and then tug it off. I will admitt there was some tears. All of this suffering was to determine whether or not my 6 stitches were ready to be removed. Imagine my distress when I learned that my stitches were the dissolving kind...

silly me thinks that all the torture was finally at and end when my doctor sent me to the nurse to redress my finger and put the splint back on...but of course this wasnt just any nurse. This nurse looked like she was 16 and had never seen a laceration before. Her hands were shaking as she put on the gauze, normally I wouldnt care but my finger happens to be BROKEN in several pieces. She was tugging and TWISTING and bending my poor cut crushed finger as she pitifully attempted to wrap a bandage around it. If that wasnt bad enough, she decided that she had done a crappy job, undid it, AND PUT ME THROUGH IT ALL AGAIN!!! :tears:

Thank goodness im outta there...though my finger has this lame loose bandage on it. I'm gonna have to keep my arm in a sling just to make sure it stays imobilized. Hopefully when I see the hand specialist on wednesday I'll be able to get a better bandage. I will also be finding out whether or not I need corrective surgery to repair the joint. I really hope not.

I also hope to return to work this coming week. Though im worried my boss will have me doing something really laaaame because im not really fit to be a childrens program leader at the momment...

wish me luck guys!! I'll keep you updated...though unfortunatly I cant submitt any deviations for about 6 weeks :tears: :crying:
